Kaazing today announced it is expanding into the Korean market and entering into a partnership with Future Web Technology Labs (FWTL). This means that any individual or organization offering applications for markets including gaming, retail, financial, mobile and many others can reap the real-time benefits of Kaazing's WebSocket Platform with the security and scalability required for fast moving and growing business environments.

“Korea has a very advanced technology infrastructure and nearly everyone expects to have all applications and devices work in real time at the highest level of efficiency,” said Manyoung Cho, CEO of Future Web Technology Labs. “Therefore it is critical for us to have broad access to the capabilities that the Kaazing platform makes possible. Because we always aim to be leaders in bringing important technologies to Korea, we are proud to be Kaazing’s first Korean partner.”

The Kaazing platform is an enterprise class, high-performance web communications platform that enables simultaneous two-way and real-time connectivity over the Web. At the foundation of the Kaazing platform is HTML5 WebSocket, the next generation web communications technology defined, in large part, by Kaazing’s founders in 2008. WebSockets are designed to eliminate the communication challenges associated with creating live, interactive and real-time Web applications using the legacy web architecture that has been in place since the early 1990’s (SEE

Cho explained in a recent talk on HTML5, that Kaazing’s platform will be very important to the market because it will allow the highest efficiency web communications possible -- over new browsers and nearly every existing browser. “This means that financial, retail, entertainment, and any other industry can provide the immediacy and interactivity that users want with substantially less overhead and complexity than was previously possible.”

According to Manuel Hoffmann, Kaazing’s vice president of business development, “Korea often sets the model for adopting important, new technologies. Our partnership with FWTL, which leads the way in thought leadership about new ideas and technologies in Korea, will enable users to have a living web experience with virtually any application on any kind of device. We are very excited to be entering this vibrant market.”
