DevCon5 Returns to New York with Hands-on HTML5 Experiences

TMC and Crossfire Media announced an exciting lineup of sessions and speakers as DevCon5, the HTML5 and Mobile App Developer’s Conference, heads back to the Kimmel Center in New York, July 23-24. DevCon5 is the premiere HTML5 conference, allowing developers to dig into the code, see applications come to life on the screen, and network with experts and colleagues.

Peter Lubbers, senior director of technical communications at Kaazing Corporation, kicks off DevCon5 on July 23 with a community session on “The HTML5 Connectivity Revolution.” Lubbers will explore the major new HTML5 feature areas when it comes to connectivity and real time, and how those are changing how developers will build modern web apps.

David Kaneda, creative web technologist with Sencha, will start the day July 24 with a community session on “Design with Mobile in Mind,” and Joel Evans, Vice President of Strategy Integration for Mobiquity, will deliver the second community session on July 24: “The Great Debate: HTML5 vs. Native: How Should the Enterprise Respond?”

In addition to the Community Sessions, DevCon5 offers over 25 dynamic, hands-on sessions. Featured HTML5 experts are from 8bitrocket.com, Adobe, appMobi, Kaazing, ListYourself.net, LongTail Video, MassDiGI, Mobiquity, MocoSpace, Mozilla Labs, Relevens, RIM, Sencha, and more.
